We're at the end of Feb 2019 and Chloe has only about 3 weeks to go before she's complete.
She's bang on schedule and is now into her final stages of construction. Finishing.
Her inside furnishing woodwork is complete and ready for the soft coverings. The quality of the interior woodwork at the yard is really world-class. Beautiful finishing and quality. Our builders are true craftsmen.
Chloe's cockpit is almost done too. Her decking has been installed on the cockpit floor, the transom, the swim platform and the benches.
Her Decking is a PVC Synthetic Teak decking and looks great. Although not 100% realistic looking, it's close enough and it's essentially maintenance free. It's also going to insulate Peter's tender little bare feet from that burning hot, bare Aluminum deck whilst in the tropics.
Her B&G Zeus-3 Navigation systems have also been installed. We'll have dual 12" displays - one under the dodger and one at the Nav table in the Salon. And, in addition we'll stick a big ol' iPad onto a bracket at the helm for running Navionics.
We really like the solid and accessible tubular grab 'n hold-on bars in the cockpit. She's designed for bouncing around on heavy seas.
Her main 3x 360Watt PV panels have been installed onto a solid, frame above the swim platform & transom. They're positioned so as to mate up nicely against the Rolled up Bimini cover. Her Satellite Antennas are placed level with the panel's surface - so as to prevent solar panel shading and at the same time, allow a 180-degree solid angle view of the sky.
Chloe's Transom name's, font size is dictated by the US Coast Guard - 4" minimum font size - so we'll go with 6"
Finally we had to select the color for the Vinyl wrap for Chloe's top sides. Her final Color. A Classic Navy Blue.
And the result of these two choices ...
