To get the land living idea out of our system, we wanted to make a long road trip, zig-zagging to create a big "W" across the USA and Canada. Starting from our now sold home in California, we headed North to British Columbia, then straight back down to San Diego. From there we plan to wiggle East and North, under the Rockies to then nip across the Great Planes. We then hoped to struggle North, through the snow, to stay with Dawn's parents in St Paul, MN for Christmas.
After a week or so, once Dawn's Mum is completely fed up with Peter, we'd head down south to defrost in New Orleans and then start to look for more boats in Florida. Once Spring arrives, we'll head up North again, to check out French Speaking Canada followed by a final run down the East coast of the USA.
From there, we might do a bit of sailing in the islands... but our essential plan is to find a ship to jump the pond, over to France.
Dawn wants to hit as many National Parks along the way, so we'll hopefully get a few snippets of these on video.
